Inspired You

Have you heard that Miss Mustard Seed, aka Marian Parsons' new book is out...

Inspired You
Letting God Breathe New Life Into Your Heart and Home

And guess who won it... no Hannah didn't win it, she can't read! But she'll love these beautiful pictures!
I DID, I WON IT!
Thank you so much to Karen at "The Graphics Fairy!

Click her button to visit her site...and check out her other 2 sites below:

I wrote to Karen and thanked her first...
                                                           and shared this with her...
A BIG brown truck pulled up in front of my house this morning and delivered a very special package to me.  As I opened it I was almost shaking with anticipation...even the cover is amazing.  I've worked some this morning tidying up my bedroom, put on clean sheets and comforter and have a nice dinner planned for me and Mr. P.  Then I plan on taking a shower (I even have special jammies picked out)  I already have my glasses cleaned and my pillows plumped up, all I need then is a hot cup of cocoa and off to bed I go with this very special book...

I bet I won't be dreaming of sugar plums... unless you can paint them with Milk Paint!

Out of Control...

My TO DO PILE has grown by leaps and bounds, it started like this...

And now looks like this...

and if you look closely under the table, you'll also see this...

Don't look too close, pretend you don't see all that dust...shameful!  And to top that off we went shopping, now I'm not the kind of gal that buys handbags or fancy shoes, NO!  You want to see what gets my blood pumping... do ya?  Okay, you asked for it...
Gives me a BIG case of HAPPY, until I have to add it all in the TO DO PILE!!!

Anybody else's pile getting bigger??  Are you all caught up on your To Do Pile's??   I don't know when I lost control of this, and I really should feel shame but you know what, I can't help it, I still love every single item in this pile!   My dreams are growing bigger and faster then I can create!

It's out of control...but I have one BIG happy smile on my face!

Pillow Talk

I've been working on pillows lately.  We still aren't too settled in the new house.  I seem to jump from room to room.  A little painting here, hanging curtains there and little sewing projects in between.  I worked on this pillow not to long ago...

Now I'm working on another pillow with a graphic from The Graphic Fairy.  Thank you Karen!  If you haven't ever been to her sites you need to go and check her out.  She is so sweet, generous and VERY creative!  Click below the graphic and it will take you to one of her sites...
You can find this graphic here

So here's my dilemma...too many choices!  I have an antique chair you can see in my last post that these two pillows will sit on.  I can't decide if I should go with the cream trim or the black.  Which would you do???

Of course I had to add my favorite toile fabric gathered on the sides and for the envelope back.  I just love toile and lucky for me, I have LOTS!  I'm also using more of my vintage buttons, most of them Mother of Pearl that I inherited from my Mom...thanks MOM!

I think I've used up all my decision making process on paint colors, window treatments, flooring choices and what to hang where!  When I ask Mr. P. he is of no help...everything's fine, looks great or whatever you want.  Now most of the time, that's probably exactly what I want to hear... after 37 years he knows me all too well.  hehehe!  Okay, I'm blabbing now...any opinion's?  Cream or black?

Lil' Sister...

Introducing Hannah's Lil' Sister... Layla

Christmas Morning...looks like a Mug Shot

Christmas Morning, Layla got a mouse she just ADORES

Lot's of lovin' going on...

It took awhile but she finally pooped out!

Layla was a rescue cat my husband surprised me with the day after Thanksgiving in 2006.  She has been by my side ever since.  She's goofy, playful and VERY affectionate.  You couldn't have a better friend!

EEEEEEeeecccck... It's a mouse!!!

The morning after I took the tree down, I came into the living room and had the scare of my life...you see I'm terrified of mice, I jumped on a chair and screamed like a little girl!

Meet Rover...

It was only her Christmas morning mouse... I got down from the chair, rearranged my hair and looked around to make sure I didn't wake any neighbors or that anyone didn't call the police hearing the screams coming from the house!  I've found this mouse in the laundry room, the kitchen, the stairs and even my bed!  So I've named him "Rover"...seemed to fit!

Big Sister Hannah and her Christmas morning toy...

She looooooves pink...she also just has to take the ears off of all her toys!  I wonder if it's to mark her territory!

A little more lovin' going on...

Now that our human kids are grown, early Christmas morning is all about our furbabies!  They are the joy of our daily lives, not to mention our nights...jeez I wish I could get some covers...Hannah likes to hog!

So one night sweet Mr. P. came home with a super duper, deluxe model, a little slice of Heaven for Hannah... meet her new bed!  I think it's love...

Have a great weekend!!!

                                                          Pendra
